Artist Elflock’s primary interest lies in the continual recovery and reconstruction of fleeting moments, as a means to explore the potential legacy of forgotten ideas. While each of his works may seem quiet and highly conceptual, Elflock, serving as a tangible conduit for profound memories, consistently draws analogies between forms that often create invisible connections between substances. It’s as though, in the present era, he prefers to play the role of a central observer, experimenting with the microscopic and unique combinations of things, whether they are isolated or hopelessly intertwined, rather than pursuing grandiose visions of splendor. His conclusions often emerge as the product of extensive inquiries into the ways in which fragments of information are conveyed, as well as the serendipities of life.

The exhibition, “I Wanna Get into This World Gently,” resembles a whisper rather than a stone thrown into water to make a splash. It sidesteps the common mission and imbues all forms with a subdued yet enduring vitality. This ambiance mirrors the artist’s beloved ambient music, gently enveloping the core of our senses, skillfully capturing the easily overlooked moments and the essence of sincerity.

The exhibition is curated by Peining Yin (known as “Pearly”) and is presented as a multi-sensory experience. It combines the display of antique furniture and custom-made fragrances to craft a “unique” exhibition space.
